The Barão Coarsely Ground Erva-mate gets its name from its coarser grinding; after drying, the erva is ground in a mill, giving the erva-mate leaf a larger granulometry.
It is produced with a special blend that highlights the quality of the erva-mate plantations cultivated in the Barão de Cotegipe region. Its drying is done in a rotary dryer, making the erva-mate more intense, with a slightly toasted and more bitter flavor.
